Shredded Chicken Sandwich

 

Short on time shouldn’t mean short on flavor!

This deliciously simple recipe is packed with bell peppers, onions, and coleslaw. Get ready! Because the Shredded Chicken sandwich is about to be your family’s new go-to favorite.

Serves: 4

 

You’ll Need:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granulated

  • 1 cup bell pepper (any color), sliced

  • 1 cup red onion, sliced

  • ½ cup tomato sauce

  • ¼ cup water

  • 2 - 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken

  • 2 cups coleslaw, pre-made

  • 4 Wonder® Classic Hamburger Buns

Follow these steps:

  1. Combine your pepper, onion, and tomato sauce in a bowl to prep. Sprinkle with chicken bouillon.

  2. Heat oil over medium heat in a medium pan.

  3. Sauté chicken bouillon, pepper, onion, and tomato sauce until your onion is translucent (usually around 5-7 minutes)

  4. Add water in and stir. 

  5. Stir in chicken and combine. Let cook for 5 more minutes and then remove from the heat.

  6. Time to build your sandwich! Add a layer of the chicken on the bun and top it all with slaw.

  7. Serve and enjoy
