Ingredients

4 Nathan’s Famous® hamburger buns

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 cups sliced mushrooms

1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

1 ½ pounds 80/20 ground beef

4 slices Swiss cheese

¼ cup mayonnaise

1-2 tablespoons prepared horseradish

1 teaspoon garlic powder

2 cups shredded romaine lettuce

A few thin slices of red onion

Salt and pepper

Olive oil

Directions

  1. Using a large sauté pan over medium-high heat, add the butter, a drizzle of olive oil and mushrooms with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook for 8 minutes, stirring often.

  2. Add the minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring often. Turn the heat off and reserve for later.

  3. Form the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties. Season both sides with a bit of salt and pepper. Cook the burgers on a grill, griddle or grill pan for 3-4 minutes per side or until cooked to the desired doneness.

  4. Add a couple of tablespoons of the mushrooms over the top of each burger and then add a slice of Swiss cheese. Cover to melt.

  5. In a small mixing bowl, add the mayonnaise, remaining tablespoon of Worcestershire Sauce, prepared horseradish, garlic powder and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix evenly.

  6. To build the burger, add some of the sauce to the bottom bun, add some shredded lettuce and a few pieces of sliced red onion. Place the burger over the top and add a bit more sauce to the top bun to finish.
